The Talbot Group are welcoming applications for the position of Person in Charge based in various locations in the North east region.
Purpose of Post
The overall objective of this position is to manage and provide care to the highest professional standards, which meets the practical, physical and emotional needs of service users, with an Intellectual Disability. To assist persons with a disability to achieve their highest level of functioning to maintain independence or to improve skills that will make them more independent.
The core purpose of the post, is within a person centred philosophy, to be responsible for the overall management of the assigned services, working in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team. He/She will ensure services to persons with a disability are provided within a relationship which is based on respect and equality and that promotes their independence.
The Manager will also be responsible for the supervision and assessment of staff under his/her direction and to take a leadership role in clinical governance including quality assurance, practice development and clinical practice.
